My dad's side of the family had a cabin on the Canadian-Minnesota border, Lake Vermillion..I grew up in Iowa for 10 years and have nothing but fond memories of fishing.

Cool photo Dan! That sounds like some great memories. I grew up around the Great Lakes and also have fond memories of fishing before moving to Colorado in 1991. I do mostly catch and release them, but occasionally will harvest a couple each year to eat, especially if I'm up backpacking at an alpine lake. I love the taste of trout for sure!
