Feeding time
p.1 #1Feeding time
There is only one of the two Osprey chicks left at the Marine Nature Study Area in Oceanside, NY. The roomer is that a Bald eagle took one of the chicks when both parents left the nest for a moment. They now watch it very closely with one always present. These photos were taken across the pond on a cooler day so very little heat shimmy allowing me to crop two of the three image I'm presenting.
Comments and suggestions welcome,
Morris
1) Dad delivering a fish with mom out of frame on a perch above the nest
2) Mom came down after dad flew off and she is feeding the chick
3) Mom and chick flapping wings together. The chick did go up a tiny bit.
