Their EN-EL15c units, at least the ones with built-in charging, are absolutely stellar. And it's nice to have an option with a warranty for US-based shooters, since Nikon doesn't warrant their batteries at all in the US.
Then again, their batteries don't seem to fail, either, so it's more a peace of mind thing. I did have one SmallRig unit where the built-in charger stopped working literally one day before the warranty expired; they sent me a new one, didn't want the old one back. Solid customer service, that.

I just had one fail (swell) a week ago. An orange EL25A I bought three months ago from BH. Very little usage, maybe three cycles? I sent two messages to xxxxx (xxxxx'd out by this website) with the receipt copy from two different email addresses without a response. Is there another support contact? I received the email address from BH support. Thanks.

The small cameras have been using pouched cells for a long time, but the mid-sized bodies typically use the ~16Wh (e.g.: EN-El15 series, Canon LP-E6 series, Sony NP-FZ100, Fuji NP-W235, OM BLX-1, etc.) INR cyclindrical cell-based battery packs.
I think we will be seeing more generiac swellers if the Sony NP-SA100 is any indication of high capacity and power pouched cells that may be used in future mid-sized bodies.

No response with the form but I did wait for live chat. They contacted email support and I received an email. Odd, they really must be struggling with personnel.
