Part of Miller Creek narrows to about 25 to 30 feet wide with trees on both sides forming a canopy over the creek.
As I paddled along, there right in the middle of the canopy is a Heron nest, suspended precariously on a branch, with two chicks. To the left of the nest, an adult provides supervision.
I did not want to get too close and disturb the chicks.
As I turned around and looked up - there was another nest almost directly above with an adult giving me the eye.
Another tough shooting environment paddling under a dark canopy shooting up towards the bright sky.
I can hear the silence Bob! Wonderful outing when you can document this type of interaction!
The last few days have been marvelous! I feel the humidity/heat building.
Again GREAT compositions!
