I was recently gifted a Yashica Mat-124G for free! The exterior condition is beautiful... But unfortunately the shutter seems stuck. At all speeds, I hear a "click" as if it is trying to actuate, but the shutter leaves do not move.
Does anyone know of someone/somewhere to give this camera a good CLA? I would prefer for this camera not to go to waste. I am located in the US (North Carolina) for reference.
Mark Hama used to work in Yashica factories and now specializes in Yashica Mat 124G Repair. I had a phone call or two with him about 4 years ago. I ended up deciding not to prioritize a CLA for my Yashica at that time, but he was great about communication and his quote was reasonable.
