p.1 #1ring necked pheasant
i was out one morning recently and actually had a close encounter with a pheasant. most of the time they are 40 yards or more away. this male was right by the roadside and not bothered at all by my car. i was actually alittle too close for my focal length. i couldn't move my car farther away and be out of the road and way of passing cars. he filled the frame of my camera and all pictures are uncropped. they are really beautiful birds. enjoy the pics.

Real nice set Wendall. I'm wondering if your black point is off a bit or if it was a bit foggy. This is most noticeable in 2 & 3. Great find

thank you to each of you for your kind comments. they are appreciated.

morris, i probably used too much dehaze and over darkened the blacks in some of the pictures. i am still learning masking in lightroom classic. i probably should take the time to watch some tutorials online about more effective use of masks.
