i was out one morning recently and actually had a close encounter with a pheasant. most of the time they are 40 yards or more away. this male was right by the roadside and not bothered at all by my car. i was actually alittle too close for my focal length. i couldn't move my car farther away and be out of the road and way of passing cars. he filled the frame of my camera and all pictures are uncropped. they are really beautiful birds. enjoy the pics.
