That's all this little dude gave me.
Then he bolted.
I waited around for a little while to see if he might return.
He did not.
Since the bugs were eating me alive while I was waiting,
I had to abandon the anticipation of his return.
It was still fun though!

With Morris #1 for the wing position. Perhaps a little more push to lift shadow at the head or exposure+ overall for the dynamics

I've found when there are lots of bugs around the hummers are focussed on them and pretty much ignore my feeder. Of course it's much more challenging to photograph them when they're chasing bugs than when they're hovering around a feeder.

I'm not really a big fan of bugs in general. In the fall I cover field trials for our local dog club. It is typically held in a field with fairly heavy "cover"....aka lots of tall grass.
