Thanks morris! It is a HUGE water field bordering the Monocacy River. Lily Pons was a retailer for all things aquatic all over the World. They would cut out shallow individual ponds for each type species of water lilies. The Giant lotus and regular lotus pods were in full bloom most of June.
You can see an observation deck jutting out to the middle of the Giant Lotus pond in the last post. Great place to take photos!

It sounds a lot like Kenilworth Park in DC. A delight when the lotus are flowering and also great for birding.
