The West Fourth Street Courts, also known as "The Cage," are a notable public basketball venue in Greenwich Village and a popular gathering place for amateur players and spectators alike.
As I was walking past the West 4th Street subway station after work, I was drawn by the sound of people cheering and watching a game at The Cage. I immediately knew it would be a great photo opportunity. While I don't consider photographing people to be my specialty, I was very pleased with how these shots turned out.
I like the way got close to the subjects and captured the moment(s). Almost makes me feel like I was there. Something about the light and the way you processed the photos is very nice too.
