.... with apologies to Edvard Munch and his much abused original image.
Just browsing some old Minolta images of a few years ago and musing that despite the many new lensesI have used over intervening years the old Minolta 200 2.8 and a Sony A7R2 still did (and still can) do quite well.
The colour version was ok but this seemed to call out for mono in my mind.
I recently re-bought a couple of Minolta lenses to add to ones that I had kept and have been very pleased with them - yes they are a bit larger/heavier than current equivalents but they are more than sharp enough and have - for my eye - a slightly 'more gentle' overall 'presentation' of the image which I find pleasing without looking 'old fashioned' in any way.
But then I am myself increasingly quickly descending into the 'old fart' category .... my daughter recently gave me a tee shirt with the quote from Benjamin Franklin "I am in the prime of senility" !!!

Thank you Dan - I vary between them - the B+W is more immediate but the other has a very slight memory of the Munch colours I think.
Exactly!
More "bang" for your viewing "buck"!
These are the "neat" things in photography.....a natural enigma!
