Never seen this before. Was at Sweetwater Wetlands in Tucson, AZ this morning and saw motion out of the corner of my eye. Desert Cottontail and king snake in a ruckus. The rabbit seemed to be the aggressor, chasing off the snake into the brush. Certainly not great photos, but wanted to share this unique moment.
one of nature's rules - never, ever underestimate what a mother will do to protect her young when they are threatened. this goes for rabbits as well as bears. good set of pictures given the circumstances. thanks for sharing.
