This is a familiar spot along California's coastal Hwy 1. These pilings are the remnants of a pier which was destroyed in a severe storm in 1955. The pier was built to load ships from the nearby Davenport cement plant.
This photo was taken from the cliffs above the shoreline using a 8-stop ND to soften the surf.
