There have been about 15 Glossy Ibis visiting the Marine Nature Study Area in Oceanside NY this year. They come and go yet when they are there some have been very close on days when fewer propel are around. In this case I saw one walking along a stream leading to one of the closest ponds. It was mostly down low in the stream bead and not visible so I waited for it to reach the stream. When it did I took a few photos while it was walking along and evaluating my risk and then it blasted off.
Comments and suggestions welcome,
Morris
