p.1 #1 · Anyone else losing shutter release buttons on Fuji?

I have an xt4 and I swear I've lost 3 different shutter release buttons. I like the concave shape and how easy it is when someone else takes a picture for them to find the release button.

Has anyone found the right way to secure them? I don't want to put on loctite obviously.

Do the ones you are using, or were, have a rubber grommet on them? They should have, and you should give it a firm twist (on mine, twisted it until the camera actually turned on when the whole assembly turned.

Had the same one on my xt3 since the start of 2019. No issues.

The soft 'lock' washer is the answer, has been for many years. Well documented. No need for glues that might go inside or make it impossible to use a cable release.
Buy a decent make that includes the washers.

I have been putting on the washers and they still fall off. Is there a certain technique or torque you’ve found that keeps them on?

As in a post above. You need to tighten quite firmly to make the lock washer bite. Just as in any engineering use of similar fastenings.

Its a parallel thread on this topic. I was concerned with over-tightening trying get it tight enough. So I used Loctite Blue, works good, haven't lost one since.
