p.1 #1Profoto A10 with C8 Firmware TTL Overexposure?
Has anyone here have any issues with a Nikon Z9/Z8 that has A10 Overexposure (about 1.5 stops) with the C8 firmware? C7 is fine...which is ironic because per release notes C8 is supposed to improve Nikon TTL.

Have you sent a note to Profoto about it? I don’t have an A10, but my other Profoto lights are up to code and no issues like you described. Is it when you import the photos for post processing?

p.1 #3Profoto A10 with C8 Firmware TTL Overexposure?
Just had a chance to test this out with my Z8 and a rental Profoto A10, and can confirm that the TTL exposure was all over the place, to the point that I just shot it in manual for the rest of the wedding.

Kind of scratching my head, because I have usually had solid TTL from profoto speedlites on the Z9 and Z8. Not sure if it's a firmware issue or not, but at this point I can't risk it for the next wedding I'm shooting and just picking up an SB5000.

Evidently the issue was announced as fixed with ver C8 for the A10. That was in March of this year. Unfortunately, I don't have an A10 to test it with.

Hm just checked the firmware of the Z8 I was shooting with the A10, and it was with version 3.00, not the latest 3.10, so that may have been the reason.

In any case, I decided to just give the Godox V100 a try for my next wedding in a couple weeks. I've heard that the TTL metering in it is better than past Godox speedlites.

Decided not to get a SB-5000, as all the used ones I found were a few years old and in the $200-300 range, about the cost of a new V100, and I like that the V100 has 100 ws vs the ~75 ws in the SB-5000 and A10.

At one time I saw that Profoto and Nikon were working together. I thought there might be a joint development on a product, but looks like it never happened. I'll keep what I have for now.
Hope the Godox works well for you.

Yeah, I recall seeing an announcement about that collaborative agreement several years ago. I'll give the V100 a try, and if it's not up to snuff in terms of TTL I'll just bite the bullet and go with the SB-5000 and just do without the round flash attachments.

I just got the new Godox V100 in, and I'm very impressed with it so far.

The build quality is better than the V1 I demoed a while back. I'd say the user interface on the V100 is actually easier to use than the A10, which is a major point towards the V100, as it's historically why I've preferred Profoto for most of my off camera lighting. The round flash attachments hold on well with the magnets, and another win is that the V100 battery can be charged with a USB-C. I don't see much use for the front flash attachment, so it's nice that easily stowable in the side pocket of the carrying case.

p.1 #8Profoto A10 with C8 Firmware TTL Overexposure?
Just shot a wedding with the Godox V100, with the Z8 and 35-150 f2-2.8, and I'm happy to say that it performed great from a TTL standpoint. Sometimes I felt like it could use another half stop of power, but at 0 flash compensation it felt very neutral. I used the magnetic dome attachment, and shooting for about 3 hours with it, it showed no reduction in bars on the battery. It did need a bit of a top up when I got back home, but I never felt the need to grab the 2nd battery I picked up.

Super easy to use, highly recommend it.

I'm having the exact same issue and it's driving me nuts. I just bought a Profoto Connect Pro for Nikon, A10, and 2 B20's and when using TTL I need to set the dial at around -1.5 to achieve a correct exposure with my Z8. I don't use TTL often, but it's still very disappointing. My old Flashpoint/Godox lights worked perfectly in TTL. I tested each light individually and they're all completely overexposed which leads be to believe the Connect Pro trigger is the problem. When I tested the A10 on camera its doesn't overexpose nearly as much, maybe 0.3-0.7 over. Everything is updated to the newest firmware.
