Sigma 12 vs Sigma 15 1.4

p.1 #1 · Sigma 12 vs Sigma 15 1.4

I'm looking at either of these two lenses as a wide angle prime. What's the consensus on these two?

All I can say is the Sigma 12/1.4 is a great little lens. Its really versatile yet light and small. Its a perfect wide addition if you are using one of the 16-XX zooms. I haven't used the 15.

I mostly just use the Sigma 17-40 these days...even though I do have a 16-55 2.8II, that extra stops means a lot to me.

The less weight of the 16-55II means a lot to me, but its great to have such a no lose choice. I think the 12/1.4 is a nice companion either way.
