Really cool shots. Cars and Coffee is always a great combo.
Is this the 50/1.4 Lux ASPH? I'm a bit surprised by the axial CA wide open. That lens usually handles color fringing really well, even in high contrast scenes.

It's the CF Lux version. However the lens performed, it was a heck of a fun time. I’m getting exactly what I wanted out of this combination. Every part of my photography has flaws so it doesn’t bother me if there’s problems in the pictures. At this point in my life, I’m more focused on enjoying myself.
Honestly, it felt like a privilege to have such a nice camera lens combination to get to take pictures of such beautiful cars. I am super happy that I went through with buying into Leica.
Love the shots, always enjoy seeing a 550. The host of a cars and coffee in Menlo park usually brings his and it always draws attention.
The CA on a lot of the older cars with a ton of polished metal/chrome is typically an issue for me with my 35 Lux, I'll have to take my 50 out to compare one of these days. I'm always wary of using a 50 in parking lot meets but these shots show you can still achieve a lot of really great shots. This has motivated me to challenge myself to only bringing a 50 to the next car meet; thank you!

Definitely, having a Cars and Coffee close by is a gift. It really is more about the experience and the atmosphere than chasing technical perfection anyway.
Hard to argue with that pairing either. The M10-R and 50/1.4 Lux ASPH is about as classic as it gets in the digital Leica world, and it sounds like it delivered exactly what you were hoping for.
It's a great option. I never felt like I had the wrong lens. I am pumped to hear that my photography actually inspired someone to go out and take pictures. That is awesome. Good news on a Monday is rare.
