Congratulations to jaylee73 for winning Feature Thread of the Week with 3 votes - View Previous Winners
Over the past week I spent some time photographing birds at two locations very close to home. It’s always nice when you don’t have to travel far to find interesting subjects, and both spots gave me a chance to spend some quiet time watching and photographing a nice variety of local birds.
The whole set just screams "Quality " . Well shot ,processed and presented. Common subjects, beautifully done. Your skills shine thru on these. TFS YGMV
Exceptiona set of images Jay! Some awesome work on the Swallows chasing insects. Kingbird is a standout for me, that is cool Stunning Parula, one of my favorite little ones. Variety and quality of presentation all most enjoyable and YGMV

Thanks Karl. I always enjoy shooting Swallows. This year I tried to shoot them in video and I had some success with the A1 II which I find has much better video tracking than the A1.
These are absolutely stunning! There's something very special about that last picture, especially. The way the tree swallow is about to grab that insect is just amazing. Did you notice a huge difference between the A1 and A1 II in terms of autofocus tracking? Asking because I keep going back and forth on the next camera I want to grab as a more serious shooting companion for my A7C II.
