The other oversight Canon made with the RF mount redesign was the elimination of the small red hemisphere/bump that one could easily locate by feel in dark environments to line up the lens for quick mounting on the camera, pretty much without looking.
Not possible with RF!
Perhaps it was the same clever person (or committee) who designed the RF rear cap?

Dremel works just fine with cylindrical sanding head, 30 seconds per lens cap, rinse under running water to make sure no plastic dust is hiding anywhere....
