Just looking to get some feedback on the sale of my Fuji gear. I have sent it the gear to MPB for a quote and have gotten a quote, just need to know if Im getting low-balled or not. The gear includes the following:
1. Fujifilm X-T4 Body in Silver - Good condition, functionally excellent with cosmetic scratches, most notably seen on the bottom of the camera. Quoted price $710 with original packaging, battery, 3rd party batteries, shoulder strap, etc.
2. XF 70-300mm - Excellent condition and functionality - MPB noted of there being light moisture (did not know it had any moisture) - was stored in a bag much of its time and/or my PC desk, $598.
3. XF 55-200mm - Good condition - MPB noted light moisture, $228
4. XF 18-55mm - Good condition - MPB noted significant moisture and missing lens hood, $162
5. XF 35mm f/2 - Excellent condition - MPB noted light moisture (have rarely ever used this lens), $218
I see you are new here, do you know about the Buy & Sell section? You should be able to compare to asking prices for an idea of what you could sell them for. I would say you could get $50-$100 per item more if you sold them here, rough numbers. But it might take a while and you will be probably handling 5 transactions. I like buying and selling here, never had any problems with people. I think those prices are appropriate prices for a used gear dealer, they have bills to pay. I think it comes down to if you want to put in a little time to make a few more bucks.
Thank you for your response. I have considered other avenues. I guess I am a little bit impatient about selling but also thinking in my head if I want to deal with potentially selling 5 items to 5 different people. Have never sold on this forum of course, but that could be interesting.
I agree that it's worth comparing to sale prices here. MPB, KEH, et al typically will offer you much less than you can get on a private sale (they want to make money, after all). In exchange you can more easily sell multiple items in one transaction and (at least with MPB) don't have to pay for shipping or selling fees.
Ultimately it's a judgment call. After comparing prices to what you find here or on reddit's r/photomarket, decide if the convenience is worth it to you.
Typically, the user sellers will give you about 50% or less of what it can be sold for by them. So, if you had 500 in gear according to them, they will probably resell it for 1000 or maybe 1200. You could probably sell for 750-800.
You just have to wait, and deal with shipping possibly 5 things, and so forth, so is that worth it...
But, MPB is typically pretty decent on everything. They might be a little low on buying, and they are a little low on selling too.

Just to confirm about MPB. Last month I bought an Excellent rated, made in Japan copy, of the Fuji 14mm f2.8 R for $279 with caps and hood. It is a spotless copy, well centered and heck of a deal compared to new at $999. Can't imagine either the original seller or MPB made much on this, but I am extremely pleased
Ya, I decided to just sell it to MPB and be done with it. I could've made additional $300 or so from my entire gear, but oh well, its less of a headache for me and I can get the money guaranteed, without having to vet the buyer and sell each equipment piece by piece.

That seems like a good call. They buy items well under market rate, but there is value in the convenience of not spending hours dealing with making listings, dealing with flakey buyers, lowballers, shipping to multiple people, etc.
