Great shot, Bob. I like the arrangement, the contrast and particularly the way the focus falls off from sharp foreground to soft and dreamy in the distance.

Thanks Brent,
Full disclosure, it is a composite of 6 images with a little of this-n-that applied.

My first thought was "A league of their own"... if you have not seen the movie, you should.
Our daughter worked at GE Plastics, Mount Vernon, IN and lived in Evansville for a number of years. We saw several games at Bosse Field; some of the movie signage was still in place. I had my D2x with me, no idea of where the NEFs might be.
IIRC a wedding ceremony was held at the pitcher's mound before the game, with both bride and groom throwing out a first pitch. Or, maybe a part of the reception? Been awhile. At any rate the event and participants' efforts were warmly received by the crowd. Ample room in the seating, good brats.
The league was interesting, a feeder system for the minors with many teams sponsored by towns/businesses and players hoping to have contract purchased by a major league team's farm system. The Evansville Otters are the local team and play in the Frontier League. Players stay with host families in the community during the season.
Visit the Otters web site for a glimpse of Americana from the Midwest.

Shameless bump, I think this got buried before anyone could dive deep enough to have read my follow-up which I think adds to the backgound. If not, I apologize.
