p.1 #1 · Spring Storm Over the High Country

I was out hiking across the valley yesterday as this storm started building over Castle Peak in the Castle Peak Wilderness Study Area. The light kept changing every few seconds as curtains of rain and snow moved through the scene. I ended up liking this B&W conversion more than the color version because it seemed to emphasize the mood and structure of the storm clouds better.

Thank you Jung! Things started off sunny then turned stormy. I actually did a time lapse of the clouds moving through from day to dusk, maybe I'll post a link once I have it complete. It made for an interesting and dramatic time lapse!

Time lapse of this stormy weather I had going while I went for the hike, the time lapse was aimed a bit more to the west of my initial B&W I posted above. Let me know what you think!
