I went out way early this morning to see if I could capture the comet visible in the eastern sky just before dawn and came away with a few that I liked. It was challenging to photograph, first because of clouds on the horizon, then by the time it emerged and visible there was a glow in the sky from sunrise light which quickly washed out the comet. It's pretty interesting that this is a non-periodic comet that may not be visible for thousands of years again or possibly ever.

It seems astronomers are finding more and more comets these days, which is boon to photographers! Nice work here.
Thank you Al, I agree it's a boon to photographers! Makes for an interesting and unique photo subject. I think there may be a couple more days of opportunity with this one, I may try again to see if I can capture it differently.

great comet shots, I have been enjoying it prior days, gone now for rising rising too late. The plague of satellites polluting the sky is very irritating. It was a beautiful green when the sky was darker.

I feel lucky to have captured it Joel, when I went out there were clouds and I was skeptical I'd see it, then the clouds dissipated and I had an aha moment when I finally saw it!

Thank you, I'll bet that was great seeing it when the sky was darker. I barely had time to capture it before the sky washed out from dawn light. I wanted to try again but it's been cloudy and tonight will be clear but by the time it rises in the east, the sky will be too bright unfortunately. I'd love to see you post a shot of what you captured!
