Hey guys, I'm going to be "upgrading" soon from a Nikon D7100 to an OM-5. I'm new to M43 and looking to put together a 2 lens kit to start. I've learned to love a good prime lens with my DSLR so wondering what's the best, reasonably priced pancake prime in the 15-25mm range? Also curious to hear any good wide aperture zoom lens recommendations, especially with a small form factor. Thanks!
lumix 20mm 1.7
the olympus 14-42 pancake zoom is better than it should be for the price
otherwise the 12-45 f4 is a great compact zoom too and relatively cheap
I used Oly 12mm f2, 25mm 1.8 and Pana 14mm 2.5, 15mm & 20mm. Pana Leica 15mm might the best for 30mm eqiv... For pancake zoom, I like Pana 12-32mm... All can be found used so you can buy, try and sell the ones that you don't want to use eg depending on what you shoot...
Thanks! I ended up going with the lumix 20mm f1.7 and the lumix 12-32 zoom. Probably going to add the oly 12-45 f4 at some point due to its weather-sealing but this should get me started. Cheers!

The 20/1.7 is a cool little lens with excellent image quality and a nice close-focus
The autofocus is slow and a bit noisy
I like this lens
Thanks for the input! I'm excited to test it out. I think I'll be OK with noisy/slow AF for most uses but we'll see--good excuse to get another lens if it bothers me too much
