I recently purchased an old Fujifilm Klasse S and promptly broke the battery door, which was made partly out of a flimsy piece of plastic that got damaged by opening the door with a coin. Now, the battery does not stay in which causes the camera to shut off randomly. Keeping a rubber band on the door does not work, because the metal piece that conducts power from the battery may also be damaged.
Would the knowledgeable souls on this forum be able to suggest a fix or replacement for the battery door on this model?
I’ve seen these broken on many Klasses, it is such a poorly designed part. When I had mine I was very conscious to be careful with it.
I would suggest placing a search notification on ebay to let you know if Klasse parts or a broken Klasse that you may be able to salvage this off of comes up.
