p.1 #1 · Eastern Bluebird

I was taking my normal walk over to my sister in laws with my D500 with 200-500 slung over my shoulder. I shot the normal sparrows and robins etc. even a turkey vulture when I noticed a small bird on a wire 50-60 yards away. I had no idea what it was but I snapped it anyway. Glad I did.

D500, afs 200-500 f/5.6 @ 500mm f/8, 1/400, iso 100 heavy crop

The cirrus clouds make a great sky background for the bluebird. There a faverate of mine Tom and for a reason I don't understand we don't see them on Long Island.

A rather surreal feel to this one Tom, it helps erase the cable in my mind
They are truly stunning subjects!

I think this is one of my favorites that you posted. Love the clean background, dont normally like the wire but it is still a very pretty shot.
