I took a walk early in the morning and there were hundreds, maybe over a thousands, seagulls. It was a cool sight. I experimented with these trying to catch some still in the water and motion blur the others to be ghost like.
Very interesting idea. I like the first one very much, but I would suggest cropping off at least the bottom 1/4 (maybe even 1/3) of the image. It'll be almost a panoramic format*, but it will focus the image entirely on what you're are trying to show; the ocean at the bottom of the image doesn't really add anything. (*it's a matter of taste of course, but I am a huge fan of the 2:1 format.)
