These were from my recent trip to Florida. I see them here at home but always from a distance. Thanks for looking, comments welcome and appreciated. All shot with R5, !00-500.
Beautiful set John! Eastern Meadowlarks are quite rare in new england now so I haven't seen one in quite a long while, but they were quite common when I was growing up. Nice to see an old friend.

Great exposure and feather detail on all John. I prefer the ones with the clean background

Thanks Morris, appreciate the feedback. I love the clean backgrounds as well, just liked the more natural environment to the fence post. But they do love fence posts and wires
Excellent portraiture, John. we used to have a field full in combination with RWBBs, but then the houses were built and now we only hear an occasional Red Wing.

Nice to see such a beautifully marked bird in great light. That is a magnificent deep yellow, well captured John. Hope we get some chances locally some day too!

The most striking Meadowlark images I've seen John.
Yes, Florida is a great place to observe wildlife habituated to humans.
#3 for me.
Robert
Thanks Robert, means a lot coming from you. I know you spent time in Florida, agree it is a great place for wildlife.
