And a few action shots - surprised at how well they came out given the distance. Got to be quick to catch these guys in the air and this camera is quick!

The days of thinking about autofocus are over - if you're shooting Sony

And finally... the new DxO PhotoLab 10 AI masking work very nicely.

Straight out the box it does a better job of blending the background than the previous version. Sadly still not supporting Compressed RAW (12bit files).

It is crazy how well this camera can pick up a bird in an obstructed area. I’ve never used any camera this good at acquiring a subject. It makes my A1ii feel antiquated lol.

Yes, the A7r VI is an impressive camera in more than just one aspect, can you imagine how good the successor of the A1 II, as the flagship camera, would be down the road? Think of a global sensor plus all the features the A7r VI has to offer and then some features of the A9 III, thrown in 😎😜. I am thinking too far ahead but in the meantime, I am enjoying the A7r VI tremendously.

It started out as an impressive camera for me, and I can be picky. And on top of that, the more I use it, it seems to get even better!

It's so good, it makes me not want to pick up my A1 anymore. I'm going to throw on the 300 and try it for some sports I think. Just wish we had more like 12 or 15fps in mech

Haha, here’s another nitpick about the A7R VI: its maximum shutter speed is 1/8000 sec.

Last week, I took the camera to a Southern California beach on a hot, sunny afternoon for a few portrait sessions. I used an f/2 constant aperture zoom lens and shot virtually wide open the entire time. The fastest shutter speed I needed was only 1/2500 sec—and that was at the beginning of the session, when the sunlight was strongest.

Even if I had been using an f/1.2 lens, I probably still wouldn’t have exceeded 1/8000 sec. So yes, I think I can live with this particular limitation.

Yes! Another limitation that has me now searching for a high quality 3 or 5 stop ND filter. I was shooting my 50 F1.2 last week with off camera flash (in high speed sync at 1/8000). Wasn't fast enough and had to stop down to F2. Pictures still look excellent tho.

Did anyone tested A7R6 for sports photography? I'm curious to know how slow it is compared to a9ii in real life such as baseball, football, tennis, and more.
