New pocketable Lumix ZS300/TZ300 announced with Type 1 CMOS, 20.1-mpx, 15x optical zoom (24-360mm) on March 24. Curious if anyone else is interested, since there hasn't been a thread created, or has/had an older model ZS200/TZ200 from 2018 that can comment. New release loses the viewfinder. Use case as an EDC, casual travel, or car camera for serendipitous wildlife. Any other comparable, modern, pocketable travel camera with super zoom (comparable to iPhone 17 pro max with telephoto lens attached, for example)? $897 on B&H pre-order
Thanks for the replies - feels like after lukewarm interest and reviews citing archaic autofocus bested by even the Sony rx100 vii from 2019, it's a pass
