Perhaps of interest: Dynamic Range (from PTP) - ISO base to 800; black: a7r6; blue: GFX100; green: Nikon Z8.

I'm really hoping that A7R6 sensor finds its way into a Nikon body so we can enjoy both the DR bump AND the better Nikon colors/white balancing

Just remember that most of the dynamic range advantage of the a7rVI vs the Z8 goes away if you use the electronic shutter.

A7R6 still better across the board and better by a significant margin near base with MS.

Manny Ortiz has a good video where he compares the recoverability of A7R6 files against Hasselblad X2D files. The Sony files won handily which was a bit shocking, though I think that's partly down to better LR support for Sony files.

That mechanical shutter DR gain is definitely impressive. It would be amazing if Nikon dropped that sensor in a Z7III with a 15fps mechanical shutter
