Great Horned Owl

I've been visiting this nest a couple of times a week and so far I have not seen the male bring her food. She is in a very difficult spot to see and in deep shadow which I addressed in post. I've also done a huge crop to remove all the distracting branches that block the view. I'm guessing there will be chicks in a week or two.

Nice catch Morris!
A GHO owlet in my city (much further north than where you are) is already out of the nest. I haven't gone to get photos, to avoid joining the owlparazzi. But resistance may be futile.

Amazing! The face it makes is pretty human-like.
I'm glad that came through. I'm hoping you will get to see how much emotion you can see in these owls when it's chicks appear.
