I have a SRRI on the way and have read numerous posts about filters and hoods but am hoping someone can give me some up to date info.
If I were to use a Leica UVa or BW Tpro filter, along with the newer updated circular hood, is there still vignetting? Am I going to lose out on the flare that is so appealing for this lens by using a filter? Does Lightroom correct for the vignetting?
I want to hopefully protect with a filter/hood but will forgo using them if it impacts the lens character.

It was only an issue with the early batches, but Leica later revised the hood design, so it no longer causes vignetting when using a filter.
Also they will ship you the updated hood for free if you have the old one. They just need the serial to check. You don't even need to send them the receipt.
