p.1 #1 · From Winter to Spring

A cacophony of birdsong greets Spring in SW Washington. Ducks dress in their finest iridescent plumes, hummingbirds stake their territories, Northern Flickers glow orange and red, and Ospreys are again familiar sights in the skies. I bid farewell to the Sandhill Cranes, though am eager for warmer weather and even greener foliage.

Nice collection Brian. M4/3 shots look as good as FF ones.

Hope our atmospheric rivers are over for a while.

Much appreciated Morris! The dramatic skies and quiet landscapes are one of my favorite things about the PNW.

Great shots! Ever been to Ridgefield NWR, its right there in SW WA state. I used to live in Olympia and made the trip down there a few times, great spot for birds and wildlife.

Thanks Louie! The Mountain really seems to help anchor the space.

Thanks! I'm a big fan of Ridgefield. A lot of the land is closed for the swans right now, but it'll really open in about a month. I'm looking forward to meeting what arrives soon.
