I am looking to experiment with bird photography at slow shutter speeds with my Z 800 6.3. The lens comes with a slip in filter holder that looks targeted towards gel filters, though I also see a 46mm thread on the holder. Has anyone tried to mount a 46mm filter in that holder? Not really keen on spending $500 on the Kase options just to try them.

I think Kase also makes their own magnetic drop in holder for it that includes a gear drive to use polarizers. Think it’s about $400 with the holder, polarizer and ND8 or $500 for the holder with a 1-5 stop vari-ND. Oddly I don’t see the individual filters listed for sale.
