I love dogwoods Bob! I have reds(not pink), whites and a "wolf eye" dogwood in my yard.
I have a grafted dogwood that went whacky. The center blooms first..it is white..then the outer limbs bloom( the grafted Japanese "Kuza" dogwood) a pale lime green with white flowers. I call it my "Frankenwood".

It will be May before ours start to bloom.
