Last year, Powell's Books put out a tote bag with the image of a snarling wolf standing on a pile of books with the banner, "Fiercely Independent Since 1971" Some Powell's employees noticed typical AI slop in the spines of the books started voicing their complaints to management but Powell's began selling the bag anyway. The employees, in the midst of contract negotiations, brought the issue to the public.
Mostly, the employees were upset that management went to an outside contractor with staff that used Adobe Tools which includes AI assisted art. The public pushed back, feeling Powell's was going against the persona of being independent and on top of that, depriving local artist of work.
Powell's pulled the bags and promised to only contract with local artist, expand their in house art production and insure AI was not used.
A big kerfuffle over a tote bag with very little AI generated art.

I asked chatgpt to create an image of me posing sexily on my Bronco. This is what it came up with. It is scary as to how well AI knows me.
