It's been downsized so much it looks terrible within the thread.
(Not sure how else to make a vertical image look good here.)
At first look, I thought this image was very "busy" "pc". But I looked at the title again and realized that it was taken at night and I am finding the wonderful shadows being cast upon the building.
Your camera was in the right place to block the flare.
Being b&w, I might enhance those shadows a tad to add separation. Just me...It might not work..would have to experiment.

Thanks Dan! Yes, that's a very helpful critique. I did only global adjustments on this one before posting & it would benefit from some local tweaks.
