p.1 #1 · Non-IS Macro on IBIS Body

Any feedback on using the EF 100mm macro (non-IS) on an IBIS body?

I don’t find image stabilization very impressive at macro distance with this combination.
I may consider switching to the EF 100mm-L IS, but RF version is not justified for my limited use.

I use the old EF 100 macro (non L, non IS) on an R6 and could definitely use more stabilization when I'm trying to shoot in lower light. The EF-L lens looks like a good choice.

I really like my EF-S 60 macro on the R7. IBIS has given it new life and use it more than I did on the DSLR APS-C bodies. I can hand hold quite close and use focus stacking as well. Probably would use a tripod for true 1:1 but I'd used it closer than 1:2 hand held. Nice portrait lens too, haven't felt the need for the Sigma 56 f1.4.
