Thank you very much Eric. Thanks for sharing your owl story. years ago I was looking for snowy owls near our lake and found a sea gull minus its head. I always suspected a snowy was the culprit.

Thanks Birdie. I believe it's a common Moorhen. Based on dark feathers in some pics along with green foot with red spot at top of the foot.
