Got to spend a few days in Florida last month. A Florida photo buddy ( Thanks Randeeh ) helped with multiple locations, this being one of them. Thanks for looking, appreciate your comments, hope you find something to enjoy.
3 - last are great John. Interesting that theirs have chicks that are branching and ours have mom sitting on the eggs. I visited a new to me nest yesterday and mom was quite hidden.
I have been looking forward to seeing what you guys saw on your trip
Wow you got hooked up nicely on the big owl! Gosh John these are really special and of one of your favorite subjects to pursue.
Nice environmental opening image, like the feel in that one of seclusion, #2 as well hidden by the trailing mosses, nice.
Seeing the mother and their interactions is a treat, those are magnificent images with excellent eye contact. #'s 10,11,12 are going to get printed
#6 although a bit soft just has a peaceful feel to it, soft coloring, soft light and the the palm behind it make for a nice shroud. , #5 trying to intimidate you!!
Speaking of GHO... you knew there'd be a story, right? I was sitting on my couch watching TV last Thursday and heard a loud thump on my roof... no trees overhead so I figured a heron landed hard or something. Next day I found a headless large rabbit in my back yard and a bloody smudge on my roof.It was a gory double bagger cleanup job, I'm glad it was trash day and no, I didnt even take a cell pic, I am still trying to forget it, heh. Evidently according to local birders, GHO will often take a rabbit and only want the head... for the highly nutrient brains... great, I have zombie owls now! ZHO? I dunno, but thought you'd get a chuckle.

Hey Morris. Thank you, yes I have also noticed lots of things in Florid happen earlier than here. I just guessed it was related to warmer climate.
Congrats on discovering a new nest to shoot, always full of promise of things to come.
These are really nice John, you got some great shots. I love the low angles you got, the local resident up here. Is very high. I really like the last one. Voted
