Honestly feeling a little disappointed by the options. In my opinion I think all of the new Fuji prime lenses are great offerings (except the new 8mm) and we don't need any new 35mm (or similar focal length) primes. We already have the 35mm 1.4, 35mm f2, 33mm f1.4, and 30mm f2.8 macro. If anything I would love to see a new 12mm, 14mm, or 16mm offering to give us something on the wider end. Or maybe an updated 80mm macro or 90mm f2? Just no more 30-35mm primes please.
More importantly, I think Fuji needs to step up their zoom game a bit. The new 16-50 and 16-55 mark ii I think are fine, but not stellar when it comes to raw IQ. I would very much like to see an updated 50-140 that is smaller/lighter and an updated 10-24 f4 with improved image quality. The current version of the 10-24 is a getting a bit long in the tooth and lags way behind the competition in terms of IQ.
Not everything needs to be super wide aperture zooms either. I would much prefer to see an updated 16-80 f4 with vastly improved IQ than a 16-80 f2.8. I think these super wide aperture primes and lenses are cool and all, but I don't think they will sell well when people realize how expensive and large they will be compared to other offerings.

There also wasn't an option for an updated 18mm f/2. I have a suspicion that they have some of these lenses in the works already. This vote serves more as a survey to see what would be worth prioritizing for future developments.

The brass 'crons would be SO much more interesting if they weren't focus by wire. Bring out a dope MF version of them!
I agree, if they go retro brass, it should be full on retro brass MF. I think they also need to bridge the f2 gap between 90 and 200, maybe a 140/f2 prime. Sigma kind of took care of the 12/1.4 that I wanted so Fuji needs to be better than that, a Astro special MF maybe. Updating the 50-140 and 10-24 is a no-brainer. A 10-24/2.8 would be nice if it didn't have to grow much.

I didn't consider that. These would represent options that are not currently being developed and it would be silly to not already have some stuff in the pipeline currently. I still stand by my lens lineup criticisms, but hopefully someone at Fuji feels the same.
Also because I think it deserves more flak than I gave it. What were they thinking with the 8mm f3.5 lens?!? Its already lackluster performance is further reduced once you apply distortion correction to fix the massive amount of barrel distortion it suffers. They are getting smoked by viltrox by their 9mm Air lens in terms of IQ and value.
Not great choices. I really want a 27mm f2 about the size of the 18mm f2. The other lens i would consider is a new 55-200mm f3.5-4.8 with updated optics and put on a diet as a travel tele.
It sounds like this is outside their normal, planned lens development.
Like the lens design team were asked to put their pie in the sky dream ideas into a box and they put them up for public vote.
So their idea of reworking the 16-80 f/4 is to make it f/2.8?
No reworked 40-150mm lens?
Some of these are interesting, or weird (brass?), but most appear to be a company looking to do new things, and not update what they have.

This isn't from FujiRumors, this is straight from Fuji themselves.
Heh. I had just read the parallel post(s) on FujiRumors and didn’t bother to look at the URL.
It is a bizarre page. Companies gauging customer interest in products would rarely just toss up a survey like this. While I can’t discount the possibility that it is somehow related to market research, I think it is also quite possibility just a (somewhat original) way to get attention for the company.
One problem with such a survey is that customers often don’t actually know what they’ll want. They tend to ask for less expensive versions of things they already have or have seen, when in many cases a company really wants to use its own expertise to figure out what customers want that they don’t yet know that they want. (How many customers would have said, in the heyday of DSLRs, that what they really wanted was mirrorless cameras?)
I agree that the 14mm f/2.8, 16mm f/1.4, 18mm f/2.0, and 40–150mm f/2.8 are due for an update — long overdue, in fact.
The lineup is also missing a compact 50–200mm f/4–5.6 travel zoom with fast and quiet autofocus. I would also welcome a dedicated portrait soft-focus lens, but updating the older lenses should be the priority.

I definitely agree with you that consumers often don't actually know what they want. An 18-50 f1.4 lens or 33mm f1.0 lens would be quite the technical achievement, but realistically would be cost prohibitive and huge! People might think they want that until it comes time to deciding to buy one. Fuji has a reputation for having smaller, lower cost lenses when compared with the competition and this would certainly go against that philosophy. Honestly if these are features you want then moving to Sony FF would probably be a better move. I just think about how Fuji released a 50mm f1.0 and everyone forgot about it, same with the 8-16 f2.8. Too expensive and large. We also already have the Sigma 17-40mm f1.7 which looks to be a great lens, but is quite large for the system. 18-50mm f1.4 would be even bigger!
Though I admit I voted for those options because I'd rather see those than some of the other options listed...
