p.1 #1 · Motorized tripod heads - has anyone used one?

I have recently been having some thoughts about putting cameras in hard to reach places, and that can make composition a bit difficult. Thus I am wondering if anyone has ever used a motorized pan/tilt head and can share any experience or recommendations about using one.

It seems like there are ones that are relatively inexpensive now?
This $295 one showed up just googling around

There are a bunch of cheap options on aliexpress for trying out the concept, with considerably better specs also to be honest. I'm thinking of trying one as an alternative to a geared head for a copy station. I only need tilt and rotation anyway. I'm currently using a sunwayfoto geared head with geared pano and it works but its an expensive setup, very fine adjustments are not hugely easy to do, for example at magnification (negs) and it's a pain to use on a copy stand as with longer lenses and the resulting camera heights, the operator has to stand up to adjust each time. The question is how fine the movements allowed are and most importantly is there slippage under weight for the tilt and/or pano if used vertically.
