My lens (BP) just arrived and I will be very interested in Fred's assessment v ms-optics 73 that I also got recently in its new version. Weight ms-optics as light cannot be beat, ease of use, the LLL knocks it out of the park, no clumsy focus of ms-optics that I always find a challenge with its small ring next to the camera. Build quality- well LLL is well built ms-optics is light like a sports car stripped of everything nonessential, a feather weight. Optics wide open at F2 v F2 on ms optics, ms optics is a little wild wide open but settles down nicely at 2, the LLL is already very good at 2 and my impression it is much more tamed and predictable than the ms-optics which can be wonderful except when it isnt like of like the LLL Z21, it can be wonderful too except when it isn't and then it is off the rails. Ease of use is likely to keep me reaching for the LLL, except for that 1.5 that I dont use that much and really paring down the weight. So looking forward to Fred's tests. my tariff was a total of 23$ with the UPS fee.

Mine arrived today via Fedex and no duty as yet. The original Fedex tracking got changed and it showed it shipped from CA instead of China.
No comments on rendering as yet, but EMH2025 seems to have a good handle on it so far.
I bought a few other things, some hoods and a silver filter to match my Z21, so maybe the tariff was for that I got two boxes one lens and one the rest... just paid the 23 and not worrying about what it is for. The boxes arrived together
I did a few quick tests (M11 EV1) on my usual cactus and plant portrait subjects. I think it a little soft at F2 but is nice enough at 2.8 much as Ted Forbes said in his review of the 50 mm about cleaning up nicely with a small increase in F. I do think it renders nicely even in my muddy cloudy sky light. So I like it, I do seem to like most lenses with their various quirks probably why I have too many and some like my 0.95 took a while to grow on me. With the details and contours I like to test with plants, also a lot of varying color, for my very subjective tests.

Thanks for the samples. I'm still waiting for one to review. Were those close-up shots taken wide open or stopped down to f/2.8?
Does anyone know the size of the screws that affix the tab to the lens? I tried removing the tab but when you put the screws back in to fill the holes they totally lock the lens. I need shorter screws to block the holes.
