Macro Micro Photographic Stand V4 with 360mm Post and Focus Stage for digital photography - ideal for insect, plant, Gems, Mineral Photography. This V4 version has been value engineered from V3 to reduce the cost but still built from the high quality laboratory optical grade components. I found a cost effective quality focus rail to replace the very costly Arca Swiss components I used in V3 but performance is essentially the same - desirable for higher magnification imaging.
For a number of years I have been offering Wild Leica Makroscopes updated for digital photography. If you are not able to afford these fine instruments I also design and construct very high quality Optical Stands that can be adapted in many ways to accommodate your digital camera and optics for photography. Here I am selling my latest V4 design - a stand with 360mm post and precise and positionable 300mm Focus stage with Arca Swiss compatible quick release clamp and plate. I have included several photos of how I have adapted my own stand with additional components using specialized microscope style optics and positioning components.
The stand is constructed with a used but exc+ condition thick aluminum Optical Breadboard base ( now 12 x 12 x 0.5 inch) with 1/4-20 threaded holes for adding accessories and easy user configuration changes and mounting a variety of components. I include a very high quality US manufactured long fixed Arca style clamp that can be secured in any orientation. This larger clamp is very robust and preferred for heavier camera setups. It can be easily rotated for horizontal or vertical clamping orientation.
Recommended focal length lenses to use on full frame digital are 25mm - 105mm although other focal lengths can be utilized. Cosmetics and mechanics are all excellent - most of the components are new / unused.
You are purchasing the stand and components shown. The camera, lighting, X-Y positioning and optical components that may be shown in additional photographs are NOT INCLUDED but are shown to illustrate some of the many ways this incredibly flexible stand can be adapted.
