I took this back in May in my town of Conway, SC. I've been told that the teal color around the eyes is only present during mating season. This was the first and only Anhinga I've been close to, so that was pretty lucky.

Thank you so much everyone. I really appreciate it. The way that lens can blow out the background at 2.8 is just magical. I got seriously lucky to find that locally and for a great price.
