What is the can't resist price for one of these? Found one at what I think is a great price but want your opinion on what you think is good. I have a Canon R5 and Fuji X100F, do I dump the Fuji?

Was $800 but it's showing dust in pictures of the sky he sent me. He lowered to $675.

If you are able to clean it yourself, it's a great price.
By the way, you need to be careful not mixing screws, manage fragile flex cables and put the sensor shims in the right places.

Fred said: "This first attempt took 41 minutes to take apart and another 45 minutes to reassemble while figuring things out. Now that I know the process, I could probably do it in about 30 minutes total."

That was RX1RII.

So if you called a few repair shops, you might get a quote to allow a better idea about a reasonable price for the dusty one.

I watched the video and it looks very doable. Do you think the RX1R would be a big improvement over the Fuji X100F?

Experience has taught me the impulse buy price of something I don't really need is $0.00. And even then I'll need some convincing to take it

I am hoping it would replace the X100F. I haven't been wowed by it yet.

I purchased the RX1R a decade ago when it was first released and shot it for a couple years. I also used it with the add-on electronic viewfinder. I am completely unfamiliar with the X100F, so I cannot help you there.

Things I liked about the camera:
Small size.
Built-in flash with leaf shutter (high synch speeds - up to 1/2000 at f2).
Outstanding optical quality.
Quiet operation.
Full-frame.
Good night performance.
Relatively fast lens.

Things I disliked about the camera:
No EVF. The electronic EVF added bulk, but I really liked the swivel capability. Also, optical viewfinders are available.
Slow, contrast-only focus
Horrible battery life (the main reason I sold the camera).

If you can live without an EVF and don't mind carrying extra batteries, the great lens (amazing optical quality) and full-frame goodness might be a compelling argument for the RX1. If you are a stickler for high IQ, this is the camera to get.
