Hello, longtime lurker of the forum and had a question for any members who might have experience in this.
Over the years I have amassed a small collection of photo books, some of them rare, many signed (mainly magnum types), almost all in documentary photography. They have been at a family home for a number of years and I may need to get rid of them due to downsizing.
Can anyone recommend any avenues for selling them as a big lot, or any shops that also sell gear that may be interested in trading for kit?
I don't know your timeline, but please consider listing some of your better titles here in the Buy&Sell section. Of course, there is always eBay, if you are looking for the largest audience. USPS Media Mail is an excellent, and less expensive method of getting your books out to your customers.
I am in a similiar situation. Tons of books and 2 Canon 9000/9500 MarkII printers that have been silent for many years.
I tried to donate them to 1 of the local high schools for their photography club but they didn't want anything!
Found that a bit odd but 1 of the students near me sez, why take "used" equipment when the County schools will gladly buy then the "latest and greatest" printers and books at no cost to the school.
Well heck yes! That is my tax money buying that stuff!
