For sale is my Epson RD-1 (finally really, really letting it go).
Third owner with relatively light signs of usage given it's 22 years old.
It has already been upgraded to RD-1S firmware. The Copal shutter mechanism works perfect along with all dials and buttons. Needle position calibration works perfectly as well.
Condition 8

-some normal dusts in viewfinder
-some light brassing on the shutter lever
Removed the retaining hotshoe spring and fitted a perfectly fitting metal hotshoe cap that makes it easier to open the top panel to adjust the RF if need be. The original retaining spring clip will be included and very easy to reinstall.
Sensor is clean and screen functions perfectly along with all buttons and dials.
Right now calibration is perfect and has been for a while (calibrated with 3 accurate fast lenses). The proper size precision screwdrivers to remove the 4 screws to access the RF adjustment panel are included, very easy to fine tune.
Polished the original screen so it's free of scratches but remains a small divot. Opted to just stick a 9H screen protector on it. The 9H projector is a little thicker but I rarely flip the screen to the emblem. It sticks up a tiny bit when emblem side.
There is also a watch dial screen protector on the top of the Seiko meter's glass face. Some extras are included as well.
Also fitted it with a black half case together with the Artisans and Artist ACAM-288 leather strap. Finished off with flat top black shutter release.
4 brand new batteries that work great along with two 2 slot USB C charger which makes travel more convenient. The battery are a little difficult to remove with the case on even though the battery door has an access flap, I've included a small tool that makes it easy to dislodge from the safety notches. 1 original Epson battery is also included which miraculously works well (I'd just keep as reserve rotation).
2x 2GB SD cards that have been reliable with this setup are included.

This is a headache free, excellent feeling example of this stellar camera. Ready to shoot and enjoy. It's also a finely tuned mechanical design but pretty easy to maintain spec thanks to CameraQuest's awesome legacy online resource.
Samples below are taken with a CV 35 1.5 which has sold separately already (below that are photos to show what the combo looks like, the lens and ADM strap are NOT included in this listing, just the camera body and accessories mentioned above.

Hello! New to this website but have been searching and searching for an rd-1 I could afford. Do u mind if I ask why you’re selling it in the end? I’ve been so torn since it’s an old camera but I think it could really scratch my itch for an analog experience without wasting film. And the dial on top is just too cool! Thanks! -Megan
